Sorry, Frank. The annoying BEEP cannot be turned off.  You’ve got three options:

1. Buy another small system like this one from AT&T.  We have several customers who ditched the RCA, and are very happy with this one

2. Get a professional grade phone system.  

3. Equipped with a music on hold analog adapter from Hold Time Studios, we can effectively mask the BEEP… but we can’t make it go away altogether.

As we wrap up writing and recording on-hold paragraphs for our customers, my favorite paragraph so far is from Cornelius Veterinary Clinic.  This paragraph totally rocks!  It’s informative, relevant, and fun.  Here you go:

You already chose a plan that will take care of alltheir needs regardless of preexisting conditions, age, sex or breed, religion or party affiliation. I’ll admit that we have a lot of companies that won’t go that far, they prefer a more “straight-laced approach” to their on-hold messaging… and we can do that music on hold too.  (Although, it’s not as fun.)
